Hi welcome to my
website. Take your time and look at all of the packets and books. Traveling teaching used to be intense all over the U.S. and Canada (conventions for many years in Canada, Orange County, CA., Las Vegas, NV, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA Reno, NV and the University of Utah plus the Society Of Decorative Painters, for most of those years.) I have always sketched and painted throughout my school years, painting in oils for about 15 years and finally developed a technique with acrylics that involved layerign colors to achieve the look of oils. I love to use a mop brush to diminish the colors into the background softly. Sometimes I use an oil glaze or "mud" to deepin the final painting. I have designed on wood, carvings, tin, cypress, knees paper and fabric and been feathered in Craftworks, Paintworks, The Decoritave Painter, Paintring, and the Creative Painting magazine. Now I have two grandkids (15yrs, and 12 yrs.) that I am enjoying and do not travel as much so I can help with their life. My granddaughter Claire is very artistic and is always sniffing around my "stuff". Right now it is summer vacation and she is helping me to stencil a new design on six shutters for the playhouse in the backyard. Jeff is 15 years old now and a lot of fun. It is a challenge to keep him full of food. It had been so well worth all of the time. I hope that your painting takes you exciting places like it has me. Your friend in painting, Cheri
